Are you trans, gender-nonconforming, or gender-questioning? Do you struggle with sexual addiction?
You Are Not Alone!
We are trans/GNC sex addicts, recovering virtually together in the 12-Step program of SAA. Through the support of our twice-a-week Zoom meetings, we find healing and joy as we experience freedom from our compulsive sexual behaviors.
We also practice strict anonymity and confidentiality, so that our Zoom meetings are a safe place for all of us.
What is Sex Addicts Anonymous?
Sex Addicts Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share experience, strength, and hope with each other that we may solve our common problem and help others recover from sex addiction. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop acting out on destructive sexual behaviors.
The Twelve Steps of SAA
-
We admitted we were powerless over our sexual addiction—that our lives had become unmanageable.
-
Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
-
Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood God.
-
Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
-
Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
-
Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
-
Humbly asked God to remove our shortcomings.
-
Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
-
Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
-
Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
-
Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood God, praying only for knowledge of God's will for us and the power to carry that out.
-
Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to other sex addicts and to practice these principles in all areas of our lives.

Statement on Gatekeeping
Many of us have experienced trauma in queer spaces because we were told, or told ourselves, that we were not queer enough or not trans enough. In this meeting, we do away with all forms of gatekeeping and acknowledge the beauty of every individual’s unique process, understanding that queerness is a journey with no endpoint. This meeting is a space where all feel welcome, seen, and loved, and where we uphold and protect every member’s right to self-determine.
